Women and Children's First

I finally got over to Women and Children's First. It's a independent bookstore. There was definitely more books on issues for children there, though there were more there last time I visited. I didn't find the book I was looking for, but some great choices like Good-bye Mousie by Robie Harris or I'll Always Love You by Hans Wilhelm.

I needed a book on death for a friend's six years old child. I have my favorites, so off I went to Barnes and Noble, then Borders, another Borders, a third Borders and one more Barnes and Noble. What I discovered in each store was a barren or non-existent children’s issues section. I don’t know if this is a new trend or the bookstores are low on stock. Six months ago, I had no trouble finding a similar book. Tomorrow, I’m off to the independent booksellers to see if I have any better luck.
